I tried everything to make Powerchute 3.0.2 install on Windows 7 (reinstalled Visual Studio C++ 2005 with its MSVCR80.DLL, and lots of other uninstalls/reinstalls & repairs). It keeps saying MSVCR80.DLL is missing, but it's not missing. I have an older version (3.0) that gets past t his, but it can't detect my LS 500's usb. Any solutions?

Hi,
Sorry for the inconvenience. You have 2 separate issue.
First the UPS is not discovered by PowerChute. Question, when you connect the UPS to the system what device is displayed in control panel - device manager - batteries? See Schneider Electric FAQ FA164514
The device manager should show APC UPS as an attached battery and under human interface devices you should see American Power Conversion USB UPS. If it is displaying HID UPS Battery you may need to change the driver to APC UPS as listed in the FAQ.
As for the missing DLL, that is included with the compressed files for PCPE 3.0.2. It should get added to the install folder where PCPE is install.
