double-chirp and flashing battery icon

Hi,

my Back-UPS Pro 700 is emitting a double chirp about once every four seconds and the battery icon is flashing (the battery icon is empty).

I looked in the user manual but the descriptions of the audible warning and the flashing battery don't seem to be listed.

Does anyone know what this means?

Hi,

It is possible the battery needs replacing. You should remove the battery and check the voltage. If the Back-UPS is a BR700 the battery is an RBC17. The RBC17 with a good charge should read 13.6 volts DC.
