different amperage in Adapters

I have a replacement adapter for my Sony laptop that is becoming frayed and i want to replace it...

mine is 19.5 V, 6.15 amps... i found one same voltage, with 5.13 amps... would I have any problems using the adapter with less amperage? Can I safely use the one I found? Thanks!

It should be safe but may not work if the laptop requires more than 5.13 amps. For instance, it might run the laptop but not charge the batteries. Check the laptop for a label describing how many amps it requires. Mine has such a label on the bottom.
