can't get the ups automatically turned on

hi,
i can't get the ups automatically turned on again after battries lose all its back up power. thats why i have to manaully turn it on sometimes.
is there any option that makes the ups restart automatically when the power back on?

Hello,

Do you mean when the batteries do a full discharge, causing the UPS to completely turn off (as opposed to Low Voltage Sleep Mode )? If that is the case, because the batteries are fully discharged in a Back-UPS, you would have to physically turn them back on.

yes, this is exactly what i meant. I want the ups to be turned on again automatically when the power back. is this possible? i don't want to manaully turn it on.

Are you using any APC PowerChute softwares at all? I believe that this units will need to be turned on manually after a battery discharge. The reason behind that is that if say another power outage occured after it has done a complete discharge, and the batteries were still low, it may not support your load and drop it.

Smart-UPS will allow you to tweak settings so that the UPS powers up after the battery has reached a capacity, or immediately.
