Just was out at a client's site...they have a BX1500LCD that had been showing a "bad battery" icon. THey say they disconnected from AC, then disconnected battery, then reconnected battery, then AC. They say that the bad battery icon went away after that. Come to find out that the power had gone out- obviously, the backup did not kick in. Battery has slight whitish discharge above what could be called a 'vent cap'..any ideas? Do we think it's just the battery? This unit was purchased in Jan/Feb 2008..any reason why the battery should fail this early?
Thanks in advance
