We usually get the first six characters of the serial number to determine when it was manufactured. The numbers that follows the first two character is the one that tells us the year and week it was made.
On the two serial numbers that you have given us, it tells us that they were manufactured on the 22nd and 17th week of 2007.

yes, you are correct. BB indicates the location of manufacture and type of device, 07 indicates, year of manufacture of 2007 and the next two numbers, 22 and 17) indicate week 22 (and week 17) in 2007 of manufacture. the rest of the numbers are a producti on number.
RIN 940 is an indication that there was a rework/upgrade performed on the device.

RIN 490 STICKER DENOTED TO REWORK ON UNIT THAT HAS BEEN RETURNED FROM FIELD, RECTIFIED AND THEN RE SOLD TO NEW CUSTOMERS, THIS PROCESS KNOWN AS REBURFERISHED.
PLS CLARIFY.

that is not necessarily true. reworks can be done on new stock as well if there was a ship hold put on them but it can also be done on refurbished stock too.
where did you buy these from? it may an older product that was discontinued but sold as new and the rework was done on them before they were shipped. why would we only rework older units but not newer units if we knew there was an issue with them? refurbished items usually have a Q in there serial number as well.
