Having issues with my APC XS1000 not charging the batteries. Battery window just flashes, staus says 0 estimated time in minutes
and will shut off completely when unplugged. Alarm just beeps twice constantly. Of course I discovered this problem after hurricane
Irma knocked power out and I was left with no backup A/C.
I have found a thread from a year or so ago so I know this is not an isolated problem.

My questions here are 1: is there a repair or replacement for this problem?
2: I do not have my receipt. Purchased at either Best Buys or Office Depot. How can I receive a refund
or warranty repair for this ?

I have a 4 year old BX 1000G sitting next to me right now. It is working. However, I do have some small technical issues with this unit but it still works. My issues are mostly with the buttons not working properly on the front top.
A three year old unit is not going to be eligible for replacement unfortunately.
It's possible that the unit may have been left unplugged long enough to ruin the batteries.
Have you removed the battery pack and checked it with a meter?
Have you made sure the contacts inside are connected securely?
In your case, it is more likely that the batteries simply need replacement than the unit being bad if it worked for 3 years.
