Windows software to monitor Synology UPS server attached to APC UPS
I have a number of Synology NAS on my home network. Synology's DSM has native support for monitoring a UPS (APC Backups 850 in my case) through a USB cable, and closing itself after a defined number of minutes on battery power. It can also act as a UPS server to nominated devices, such as my other Synology NAS's. In my case, this UPS server NAS is always on.
I'd like to find a Windows utility that can monitor the NAS UPS Server, and when appropriate close the PC down. My PC(s) are not always on so cannot act as UPS Servers to the NAS's.
About 15 years ago I use a Windows utility called WinNUT to do this on my PC, but I cannot get this to work on Windows 11 as its rather old and there is not any setup documentation available.
Has anyone found a Windows utility to do this? Can anyone help with setting up WinNUT?
