Windows XP Update SP2 to SP3 Update Shutdown Powerchute.exe?
I am going to update Win XP to SP3 and part of the Microsoft instructions are to shut down all programs during the update installation.. Should I shutdown powerchute.exe from task manager and is there a way to stop powerchute from starting on boot up? I would like the first boot after the update with only necessary programs running and then will reconfigure. I have Winpatrol which can modify the Win startup programs. I am running Powerchute version 2.0 with a ES BE350R, is there a later version that is compatible with SP3? Thanks.
