Windows Vista 64 Compatable with Powerchute Personal Edition

😄 Hi I'm new to the forum and have a question concerning the Backup UPS RS-1500 Va LCD is this unite's Powerchute Personal Edition 2.1.1 software compatable with vista 64 bit operating system. I am in the process of purchashing one. Is it best to order the unite direct from APC , online or from a retailer. Thanks for all your help and cooperation.

I just bought an APC BX900 UPS last week. It came with PowerChute Personal Edition V2.1.1 which runs fine on my HP machine on Vista Home Premium 64 bit. You can also download that version from APC's website. I'd buy it locally because it's HEAVY.

Does anyone know if Powerchute Business Edition version 8 works with Vista 64 bit? If not, is there a version of the PowerChute software that has 64 bit drivers? If there is no 64 bit version, is there a version that is recommended for use with Vista 64 bit. My UPS is a Smart UPS, 1500VA USB unit.

PowerChute Business Edition 8 is compatible with Vista 64 bit, Business, Enterprise, and Ultimate editions w/ SP1 installed.

yes - APC doesnt have a specific 64 bit version but you should be able to run the the 32 bit version on your 64 bit OS.

as for where to buy - you can purchase from APC directly or you may have a retail store close by you can check out.
