Can someone please explain the following events?:
1. I come to my PC with an APC pop-up dialog with a message of: only 5 minutes backup power remaining and an OK button option to replace the battery.
2. OK, fair enough, I navigate the APC shopping-cart system to buy a replacement battery.
3. I collect the Model and Serial numbers as instructed.
4. I input the Model number where instructed during the APC shopping-cart process to calculate my replacement battery options.
5. With the replacement battery options calculated I depress the check-out button.
6. The even in step 5 leads me to new account creation.
7. I create a new account with user ID and password and then to my amazement my shopping cart is empty!
8. Now, I am faced with re-starting at step #2 (see step #2 above).
I build shopping-carts for a living. I would like to have an explanation to the 8 events above.

hi
i agree it certainly isnt convenient but honestly, the moderators on this forum are only in technical support for APC products and not the actual website so we cant tell you why its set up the way it is.
i recommend sending a comment to commercemaster@apcc.com and/or making a comment here
