Which cable?

I have a Back-UPS XS 900 (BX900R).

The product came with a USB->RJ45 cable. Is there a DB9 (female) to RJ45 cable that I can purchase that would work (or some set of cable adapters)? The system that I am using the UPS with does not support USB connectivity with UPSes. I must use a serial cable but obviously one that has an RJ45 connector for the UPS's "data port".

The box clearly states "Serial and USB Connectivity" but I can not find any information as to using the serial connectivity instead of USB.

Any information on this would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,

The cable is actually part number 940-0128. This is RJ45 to DB9 simple signalling cable for APC units. You can use this cable with PowerChute Business Edition and your BackUPS, but you will have limited configuration options. The primary purpose of PowerChute, graceful shutdown, will still be operable. The best way to get this cable is to call or email into our support teams to have one sent out.

Thanks.
