Where is the new Powerchute that fix the old BRxxxGI problem?

As title,
one year ago I bought a BR1500GI.

This UPS has many problems and bugs as explained here:
Referenced content removed

The most annoying problem is the first of that list.
In few words, if there is an outage when the computer is off, the UPS kick in just the same and you have to disable
the UPS alarm or power off the UPS if the outage is long. Think if this happen in the night when you are sleeping.

I went out from home for few days for christmas holidays and I get back today.
I founded my UPS completely drained off. A current spikes made my lifesaving to kick in, UPS noticed the outage and kicked in also,
it was ON until the battery was completely drained off also if my computer was powered off.

A year ago an APC rep told me that a newer version of PowerChute will have fixed this problem but I still have the problem.
What should I do?

I'm completely disappointed.

Davide,

So are you saying the problem is that the unit was beeping even though the software was configured not to? I just want to make sure I understand your complaint with the unit.

Yes, the unit beeps also if I configured powerchute to disable alarms when the PC is off.

I posted this issues many times in this forum and APC technician promised me a patch in the powerchute software,
I'm waiting this patch since a year.
