I want to see which UPS backup system is right for me. I have a brand new iMac. But when I tried to use the UPS selector function on the site, the Macs they show are very old. What's up with that? It looks like they stopped updating this feature for Macs in the late 1990s.
I have a 3.06 Ghz iMac, a scanner, a HP LaserJet6MP printer, two external 1 TB HDs and small speakers.

I would suggest keeping the laser printer and scanner OFF of the Back-UPS unit entirely and plugging it into a separate surge protector. I would also suggest keeping the speakers on the surge side of a Back-UPS.
Do you have a set of power specs on the hard drives and iMac so we can size for your configuration? Also do you know if its Active or Passive PFC power supply?
