Hello,
I currently own a BX1000G ups and it is no longer meeting my needs. I saw that there is the BX1500G version that is the same size and has a higher wattage (800). I was wondering if it is possible to buy the BX1500G battery and put it in my current unit to save money instead of buying a whole new one. If its possible I would also like to know where to buy the battery in Canada (whether it be online or in a store).
Many thanks,
Danielt

I think we just accept credit card via web sales. Another reseller of ours may accept PayPal though.

How is BX1000G no longer meeting your needs?
Upgrading the battery does not increase the unit's capability as far as wattage capacity. Furthermore, the BX1000G is designed to charge and use a particular battery with particular specifications so we would not support putting a larger battery in the smaller unit.
Either way, I am not sure what you mean by the BX1000G isn't supporting your needs because your needs may not be related to the part the battery plays in a UPS. Please clarify and we'll see what we can recommend for you. If you need more wattage output, a battery won't help.

I'd like more information on the trade program.
Thanks for your help,
Danielt

Yes I need a higher wattage capacity, as the current capacity is 600 I need at least around 750 or 800 watts. I have already disconnected everything but one device( the computer). I wasn't sure about the battery and what it had to do with the wattage capacity. That's why I posted this question. Is the only option to buy a new ups with higher wattage? I just bought this ups 2 weeks ago.

Ohh but yeah we only offer external options for more runtime in these smaller units, not more power. Larger UPS units offer this, for data centers, but for smaller units, you'd have to buy a new, larger capacity UPS.
You can trade this one in for credit towards a new one via the Trade UPS program if you're not going to keep it. Let me know if you want more information on that.

Sure, start here -> Recycling Options - recycle
APC resellers, like CDW for example, may offer this too if you normally purchase through someone. Might be worth a check.
Let me know if you have any other questions. Basically, you buy a new UPS at a discount, receive it, we give you a return label to return your old UPS.
