I'm now at the moment in a little trouble. We have a Server protected by a Smart UPS RT. Attached to the UPS was a CD with Powerchute Business Edition 6.6 which caused some well-known trouble. Meanwhile we installed a new version of the agent(i think it was 7.04.) During a planned reorganisation of the server, it was chosen to move the install drive of Powerchute to another disk drive. This is where my troubles started. First i uninstalled the agent and the server which didn't worked completely. Now i've got a few questions. Can you send me a how-to to deinstall the old version completely? Also i dont know in which way should i make the new installation. First the dowloaded agent(8.0), afterwards the server(6.6) from the cd? I'm thankfull for any kind of help, which can solve this troublesome situation. Please excuse my mistakes, i'm not a native speaker.

As for the monitoring. If you use PCBE 8.0, the free version is just an agent. This agent does have an accessible web interface for your configuration needs. (http://
You can't use an old pcbe server version with a new agent, so certainly don't install version 6.x. In fact, probably toss that cd away just so you or anyone else uses it. 😃
