UTS6H Neutral Leads on System Board Reversed on J32 and J33

When we installed our hardware kit, and followed the instructions, the diagrams in the manual said to hook the neutral lead from the terminal block from the hardwire kit into the J33 lug off of the system board. The problem is that the original inlet that was removed from the unit (to make way for the hardware kit) had its neutral tied to J32, not J33. J33 was and still is occupied by the convenience outlet/IEC320 neutral lead. It came like that from the factory new. So, the decision had to be made: follow the instructions and use J33 for the hardware kit (and presumably change what came from the factory and move J33 to J32 for the convenience outlet neutral), or to assume there is no unique requirements that require that the hardware kit be tied into J33. So I made the choice to plug the hardwire kit neutral into the J32 connector (which the old L5-30 inlet used to be plugged into) and not follow the directions.

So are the directions incorrect or did my unit come in with a factory defect and have the inlet presided to J32 and not what appears to be the proper J33 according to the directions? Anyone else see this issue?

I'm having the same problem with my new UTS6H. I'm not sure whether I should move the white wire from J33 to J32, and then connect the white wire. The hardware kit instructions also did not say to remove one of the white wires (which appears to be unused) at it did with the Brown wires.

Did you try move the current J33 to J32, and did you get rid of one of the white wires? Did it work?

Just an update today. I spoke with APC tech support. They said that its the same neutral bus, so either J32 or J33 can be used to attach one of the neutral (white) wires, and the unused neutral (white) wire can remain unused (or removed).

in regards to two neutrals, i know for the UTS10BI -due to the AWG used - a single #8 cannot fit so two #10 are used.
