I have APC Back-UPS Pro BR1500MS2.
Every time it does self-test, it wakes up my Windows 10 PC from hibernation. This is an undesired behavior. I want my PC to stay powered off.
Is there a way to configure the UPS to NOT wake up the PC when the UPS losses power? I see no such option in PowerChute Personal Edition.
The UPS is connected to my PC via USB, so I assume it wakes up my PC via the USB. Unplugging the USB from my PC is not an option, as I want my PC to receive the battery information from the UPS, allowing my PC to automatically shut down (if it's currently tuned on) when the UPS battery gets too low.
Disabling wake up by USB in BIOS/UEFI is also not an option, as I want my other devices to be able to wake up my PC from hibernation, e.g. my keyboard and mouse.

have you install PowerChute or are you using the Windows Power Options?
If using the Windows Power Option go to the control panel > Device Manager > Batteries and double click on HID UPS Battery. Then select Power Management and deselect Allow this device to wake the computer.
If running PowerChute the battery will be APC UPS not HID UPS Battery.

Using PowerChute. Installed it thinking it might have an option to disable the wake - alas no. Didn't bother with uninstalling it, so I'm still using it.
I don't have the "Allow this device to wake the computer" checked, it is unchecked on my system:
Any other suggestions on how to prevent the computer from waking?

Have you defined a time when hibernation should be active? If so, what is the time specified on the system?

I don't define any hibernation times. I just press "Start -> Power -> Hibernate" whenever I'm done using my computer, then it goes into hibernation immediately. After that, it stays in the hibernation until I manually wake it up by either: moving the mouse, pressing on the keyboard or pressing the power button. Or at least so in theory. With the UPS connected, in addition to me manually waking the PC up, the PC can also be awoken by the UPS doing self-testing, which is undesired and I want to disable.

For clarity sake, the hibernation mode can be defined by the end user. Meaning this is one of several possible solutions for you to use to test the results.
You will simply define a time (duration) as to when you want the hibernation mode to activate say 60 minutes or whatever time interval you like. 👍
So in the above example the Self Test begins and wakes the computer up. It wakes up but after your defined hibernation of 60 minutes it will go back to sleep / hibernation. ☝️
Set it up and test it out to see if this break fix helps your situation. If so please mark this as solved so others looking for the same answer can find it. 👍

If I understand correctly, you are talking about this Windows option, which will put the PC into hibernation after a certain idle time. I do not want my PC to go into hibernation on its own. If I leave the PC running, I want it to continue running. This is not a solution.
What I want is for the UPS to not wake up my PC from hibernation.

Sorry for a late reply, my posts always get moderated, requiring moderator approval, and the last one even got rejected and deleted, supposedly by a mistake, as someone messaged me apologizing about it. So I have to re-type my reply once again.
Anyway, I searched for this timed hibernate option you are talking about and I found an option to make the PC go into hibernation after certain idle time, e.g. 60 minutes. Is that the option you are talking about? If so, that wouldn't work for me. If I leave my PC powered on, I want it to stay on until I manually shut it down or put it into hibernation. It hibernating on its own after a certain time is an unacceptable solution.

As stated earlier you have some options and it comes down to using those possible break fix / work arounds. As it relates to the defined hibernation you would enable it when required.
Another possible alternative is creating a Windows task with a batch file. Going this route would allow finer grain scheduling via the task manager.
More advanced methods require a lot more technical knowledge and investment of hardware integration into a persons network infrastructure.
This is done using power monitoring, power shell scripts, NMS, and SNMP. Let us know what direction you take and possible solution as I’m sure it will help the next person asking the same. 👍

Sorry, these are not the solutions I'm looking for.
The hibernation solutions doesn't stop the UPS from waking up the PC. The PC waking up from hibernation for even just a few seconds is already a problem for me.
I'm also not interested in getting any additional hardware to remedy this.
I still can't wrap my head around the UPS not providing the "Don't wake up the connected USB device" option. I can't be the only person putting my desktop into hibernation, can I?
Also, just to make sure, as I don't have the checkbox checked in the settings that @BillP has shown earlier, I tested if the UPS still wakes up my PC even now - yes it does. If I put my PC into hibernation, with it being connected to the UPS via USB, and I unplug the UPS from the wall power to simulate a power outage or a self-test, it still wakes up my PC.
