UPS gives beep every minute and shuts down in 5 minutes (on battery power)

My APC UPS is brand new. In just 2 days after I bought , UPS on battery power beeps every 1 minute and shuts down exactly after 5 minutes. I connected a laptop to it.UPS model: BX 600C-IN.What might be the issue?

Based on your description (beep every 60 seconds) it means the system is running on battery power only.

Because the input power is out of range or considered dirty. As such the UPS is able to provide five minutes of operational runtime until it shuts down. 

Given this specific model APC UPS offers absolutely nothing in terms of user information / interface.

You won’t know specifically if the voltage is low, high, frequency drift, etc. 🤦‍♂️ Given all the above the system is working as designed. ☝️

I would encourage you to reach out to your local APC Technical Support in India. As I’m sure they will affirm the same thing.
