Hey guys I have a APC BR1500LCD. I had my ps3/hdtv connected to it (both were off but connected) but now my ps3 hdmi no longer works and the same port on the hdtv that the ps3 was in no longer works either (I can hook up my pc/xbox 360 but there is nothing displayed even though I can move my mouse over to the screen if I try the pc dual screen). Did i miss a step somewhere or does this kind of thing happen?

you said "as well as protection." were those network jacks/cables you were referring to in addition to the power? if you feel it was due to the thunderstorm, you may want to pursue the equipment protection policy and file a claim -> http://www.apc.com/support/service/equipment_protection_policy.cfm
i would just ensure that you power cycled everything, if it were me in this situation.

Yea I plugged it in for power as wel as protection. There was a thunderstorm a few days ago and yea these were plugged into the ports that said backup/surge all the way on the bottom. Yeah they worked no problem until after the thunderstorm happened.

did you just plug the PS3 and TV into the UPS for power? if so, this should have nothing to do with the issue you are experiencing. was there recently and foul weather or anything to indicate some type of surge occurred?
are these devices plugged into the outlets that say battery backup + surge? did these devices ever work properly while powered on and connected to the UPS?
