When I plug the Ethernet cable into the P11VNT3 surge protector it changes the speed from 1Gps to 100Mbps. Why is it doing this? It only supports speeds up to 100Mbps?

Please see the product specs Terry was nice enough to link above. That is the proper rating the unit specifies and it is expected behavior.

The product specs (found here) specifically mention "Network line - 10/100 Base-T Ethernet (RJ-45 connector)" so it appears this is the expected behavior. I can think of a couple possible reasons for this, but since I don't work for APC, let's see what they say when they see your post.
