Steps to migrate clients, configuration etc. from Infrastruxure Central 6.2.0.659 to StruxureWare Data Center Expert 7.2.1
Hi,
We recently moved from the Infrastruxure Central (ISX) physical appliance to StruxureWare Data Center Expert (SDCE) version 7.2.1 (VM). Is there a way I can import devices previously monitored by ISX to new SDCE?
I performed a FULL backup via ISX but when I attempt to restore a backup via SDCE, the location shows up empty. Are there any steps I need to follow to make this work?

Hi Bhaskar,
You need to be on the same version to import the backup to DCE. If you do not want to lose historical data, you need to create a backup on the physical machine but you need to be on version 7.2.1. Then you can import the backup from the physical machine to the VM. Although, once you have unlocked the VM using the activation code, you can do a discovery on the VM, and it will discover the devices on your network.
