Hi all, new to the forum and wanted some opinions or direction on what to do. I have a chance to pick up not 1 but 2 Smart UPS 2200va 1980watts for a steal. Of course I don't know exactly what shape they are in other than I was told they work great. My question is this, I would be using this only for my computer and components but i've got a power supply that's suppose to require pure sine wave, at least that's what i've read. My power supply is 750watts. Is this overkill for just a computer? Another concern would be software available. The units are about 4 years old. And also if replacement batteries are available.
Any input would be appreciated.
Mike

JonPro,
Thanks for the reply back. I should be able to get the exact model number. I'm glad you mentioned about the cables to hook it up. I'm running Windows 7.
I'll get back to you just as quick as I can get the model #. Thanks.
Mike

Mike,
If the UPS did not come with a network management card the software that would work for your Windows 7 is PowerChute Business Edition (https://www.apc.com/products/family/index.cfm?id=125). We offer a free Single Node Agent and Deluxe versions that are available for a fee.
