SUA UPS PBEAgent via USB in Enterprise Linux 8
Hello.
I want to use pcssagent-1.3.0-301-EN.x86_64.tar.gz to manage SUA3000I and SUA3000RMI in Oracle Linux 8. It is successfully installed and I can access the web interface, but soon after, it stops and I get a log error
"Device status UPS communication lost". A few seconds later the PBEAgent process stops.
PBEAgent.service: Main process exited, code=killed, status=6/ABRT systemd[1]: PBEAgent.service: Failed with result 'signal'.
For now I'm still trying to manage the connection to one UPS. Lsusb and usb-devices commands both detect the device:
lsusb output: Bus 003 Device 004: ID 051d:0002 American Power Conversion Uninterruptible Power Supply
As you can see, I can even get the serial number from the UPS with usb-devices command, so communication is ok. When running config.sh, if I select SUA model (option h), I only get "smart" and simple cable type options, but it seems I'm only able to configure serial connections with either.
In windows, I was using the same supplied USB cable and I could connect. Any ideas, please?
