Hi,
I got a SUA2200UXI two years back. Exactly after 1 year the problem first occurred and I got a replacement. Now exactly after one more year, the problem has again started few days back.
Symptoms:
While in operation, suddenly the 6 LEDs start flashing (AVR Trim,ON Line,AVR Boost,Overload,On Battery and Replace Battery) and the UPS cuts off power to all peripherals.
If I restart the UPS, it does work for a while but again the problem arises after a few minutes.
Things I have tried:
Tried to change the sensitivity setting behind the UPS, but the problem occurs at all 3 sensitivity settings.
I'm guessing the prob is the same as in this thread:
http://forums.apc.com/spaces/5/smart-ups-symmetra-lx-rm/forums/general/6602/smart-ups-sua-1500i-with...
I'm still under the 2 year warranty period and might be lucky to get a replacement again. But worried, what I would do once warranty runs out.
Is this due to a malfunctioning relay? Here is a video of the prob:

Please advise.
Thanks,
Pappu

unfortunately, this indicates an AVR relay weld and generally is not fixable. is automatic voltage regulation constantly in use?

Not constantly...but definitely a few hours everyday in the morning and at night.
(Load is minimal, approx 400W)
I gathered some more info about this particular problem from here:
http://forums.apc.com/spaces/4/back-ups-surge-protectors/forums/general/2824/apc-be550g-battery-back...
But what I'm tensed about is that you are saying its not fixable. For now, I'll probably get a replacement. But later on, if this happens again, can't I get the faulty relay replaced with a new one with identical specifications....will that work? (a friend of mine says its not a very expensive component)
What do you say?

Unfortunately APC doesn't sell relay's. If the unit is out of warranty and you want to have it repaired, you can contact our authorized service center - Coastal Business Machines.
