Hi.
I have a five PC boxes with Linux installed, and connected via serial cable to UPS. Two of the boxes have problem that randomly, ups just shuts down and won't turn back on until I disconnect the serial cable from computer. I've try changing ups, changing cables, but the UPS-es on the same two computers just keep on powering off randomly, refusing to be turned on while serial cable is connected. Once turned on, everything works as expected.
I have been using apcupsd on Linux, and it works great, I can see all the statistics of the ups, and everything.
I've searched through log files and I can't find anything. 😞 Any ideas? What to do? UPS are not overloaded (45% load max).

thank you!
it seems that faulty/incompatible cable were the culprit for the current problem. I just hope everything runs smoothly now!

Hi!
Thank you for your answer. You are correct, it is SC620i.
These are the cables that we have:
1x 940-0024C
3x 940-0024D
1x 940-0024E
940-024D was connected to the computer that's having issues.
My question is - how to know what is correct cable for APC UPS?!
