Hello,
I have a problem with my SMT750I UPS. It still worked for years until displaying the “replace battery” alert. So I ordered and installed new RBC48 batteries. It works well with good autonomy for 10-15 days then it displays red light "connect battery" or "replace battery". I then have to turn it off unplug it then turn it back on so it goes back to green for a few days.
I don't understand where the problem comes from...

A few things to keep in mind and to review. If this is a European UPS model confirm the rear battery disconnect plug is firmly seated in the unit.
Remove and insert to make sure.
Verify all of the battery connectors including the fuse jumper are tight and firmly in place. If in doubt, remove all of them and crimp them closer with a plier.
If you were not prompted to enter a new battery install date. Disconnect the battery while the unit is powered and on. Wait for the unit to indicate a battery error than reconnect the battery pack.
The system should prompt you to enter the month and date of the install. The battery installation date can also be done using Power Chute software.
Once the battery installation date has been set - run a self test.
After that has passed you’ll want to complete a battery calibration on the unit. Insure at least 30% load is connected to the unit and remove AC Mains. Let the UPS automatically shut down by itself.
Once that process has completed reconnect AC Mains and let the unit recharge the battery pack. Everything should be fine moving forward. 👍
