Firmware is latest for this model for both the unit and the NMC. (AP9641)
After replacing battery on SMT1500C:
1) Refuses to do a menu-initiated runtime calibration because the battery never gets to 100% charge. Might get to 99.2%, or 99.6%, but not 100%. I thought this was what calibration was supposed to fix.
2) Refuses to allow me to do a manual runtime calibration because it 'hangs on' to the false battery capacity and when it hits the false 'battery dead' point it turns off and drops the load. (Probably with 80% battery capacity left)
Does not make sense because if you have an imperfectly-calibrated battery the UPS I'd think it would still keep the load online as long as possible after a power failure, whether or not the UPS 'thinks' the battery is dead or not. I cannot find any setting to avoid this.

How old is the system and RBC?!? Provide a photo of the serial number for both along with the following logs in their entirety: Event, Data, UPS, Diagnostics.
Provide a screen capture from the NMC under the About tab for both UPS / NMC.
A battery calibration regardless of how it’s initiated must be done when a new RBC is replaced.
There must be a minimum of 30% or greater load connected to the system while doing so.
