S20 battery sense wire
A friend's S20 is on the bench. His issue came after replacing the batteries and the unit fails to find the new batteries.
Battery's are APC and voltage is fine.
I suspected that he did something wrong while installing the batteries and blew the fuse in the heat-shrunk sense wire. I removed the battery-to-UPS cable from the batteries and the UPS.
Measuring this sense wire from end-to-end, it showed an open (infinite resistance) in either direction from. I assumed a blown fuse or defective part.
Removing the heat shrink I've discovered a 1-ohm 10W resistor (measures good).
In series with this sense wire is a 1N6271A (TVS unidirectional diode) with what appears to be a glass-encased signal diode in parallel with it (no polarity stripe, no numbers, see photo).
I suspect that one or both of these components have failed (simple resistance measurements show opens in either direction across these two components).
What is the part number for this class-encased component?
