I have a desktop that I use for Bitcoin mining and I'm using the APC BR1500G mainly to ensure good power is going to the machine (and to allow it to gracefully shutdown).
The APC unit is at 99-101% load 24/7 (850-875 W), is this bad or is this ok? The fan kicks on/off every few seconds.
Worst case I just won't use it, but I didn't want to burn it out if it isn't designed for this.

Hi Josh,
Using the unit to near 100% of it's capacity will create excessive heat in the UPS and therefore shorten it's life, as well as the internal batteries life. When sizing a UPS for a configuration, it is recommend to not exceed 80% of the overall capacity of the UPS. This will ensure adequate battery support and allow for fluctuations in power consumption from the connected equipment.
