Hello.
I replaced the battery on my Back-UPS ES 725. PowerShute personal edition 3.0.2 reports the battery is fully charged and has 77 minutes of estimated run time. Yet it still says "Battery in unit needs to be replaced". How do I get it to know the battery has been replaced?
Windows 10, 64-bit.
John

Thank you, Bill! Turning it off and back on, holding the power button for 5 seconds, resolved the problem.

John,
Running a self-test should clear the message once the self-test passes. If it does not rest the UPS.
1: Disconnect any attached load.
2: Unplug the UPS from the wall socket.
3: Disconnect the UPS' internal battery.
4: Push and hold the "On" button on the UPS for 5 seconds
5: Reconnect internal battery.
6: Plug UPS in to known good power source.
7: Turn UPS on.

Thanks, Bill. PowerShute does not display a self-test option. Looking at past postings it looks like the UPS does a self test every 2 weeks, which should resolve this. Later today I was planning to turn it off, unplug it, disconnect items plugged into it, and then press and hold the power button until there is a long beep. I think that initiates a self test?

John,
I apologize. I should have written run a manual self-test. When you turn the UPS off and then back on it will automatically run a self-test. Your other option is to press the power on button for around 5 seconds and the system will initiate a self-test.
