Is there a trend to phase out the "replaceable battery" type of UPS, so you have to re-buy the outlet plugs every time?
For example, I got the APC BN450M 450VA, which has a fixed battery.
I was used to the replaceable battery type, so I exchanged it for the APC BE350G Back-UPS 350VA

Hi,
It is not a trend. The model is based on end users required - requested features and benefits.

Maybe it's not a big deal, because you don't save much by replacing the battery once, or twice.
I also have a couple of Back-UPS 550's
