Hi,
Quick question: can we replace the battery of an Easy UPS SMV/SMVS ourself?
There's no replacement battery available on the APC website...
https://www.apc.com/shop/fr/fr/tools/replacement-battery-selector?showAll=true
And there's also no instruction on the user guide.
The battery is maybe not available as the range is brand new and there's currently no need to replace anything out of the warranty process, but still, I would like to make sure it's possible and we'll not be forced to send back the UPS to get the battery changed in the future.
Thanks!

I'm not familiar with most of the back-ups range but from what I can see the neither the BX U nor the BX MI batteries are user replaceable.
That's not to say that you couldn't do it, I personally don't know what's involved for those units, but the documentation say quite clearly that they must be returned to the SE service team for a replacement.

Hi E,
No, that range does not have user replaceable batteries.

Thanks Gavan for your answer!
So I guess it means the UPS has to be sent back to APC/SE or a service station?
And last question: what about the Back-UPS ranges?
I think it's ok for the Back-UPS CS (400), Back-UPS BE G2, Back-UPS BK & Back-UPS Pro BR MI. There's even a door with no screw to easily replace the battery.
But what about the Back-UPS BX U & Back-UPS BX MI ranges?
For the BX U it looks more complicated to open, there's no door, but we can buy the replacement batteries on APC.com.
For the BX MI I can't find any information. It seems there's also no door and we can also buy the replacement batteries on APC.com.
Thanks again for your answer!
