Back-UPS without fan?

Hi,

2 quick questions:

1/ Just to make sure, do you confirm that the following Back-UPS indeed don't have a fan?

  • All Back-UPS BE G2 (650/850VA)
  • All Back-UPS BK (350/500/650VA)
  • All Back-UPS BX U (700/950/1400VA)
  • All Back-UPS BX MI below 1600VA (750/950/1200VA)

2/ At last, what about the Back-UPS Pro BR MI?
Any of the 4 (650/900/1300/1600VA) have a fan?
On the user guide, the F8 System Fault is a Fan fault, but... only for the 1600VA. So does it mean only the 1600VA has a fan?

Thanks! smile

No answer?

It was not supposed to be a complicated question. It should be quite easy for anyone from SE or APC familiar with the Back-UPS products.

Thanks!

What surprises me more is that noone from the community can help you with your question, hard to imagine, noone has one of these devices in use.....

I’m in need of a couple UPS devices (rural area with brownouts and black outs).

I have been looking into different UPS options on the market and was wondering what people with experience think of the ones they have. Do you feel it was a good buy? How was customer service?

Any information you think a new buyer should know?

I’m looking to buy a small one for the router/modem combo and a larger one for an iMac with some peripherals. I don’t need help with the wattage, as I can figure that on my own 😉

Bonus points: simulated sine vs true sine; marketing gimmick or worthy investment?
