I have a Back UPS Model BR1100CI-IN (Serial No. EB0952003488RS) which is about 3 years old. Lately, when I switch it on, the red light often starts flashing. In addition to the flashing, the UPS beeps every 2-3 seconds or so (2 quick beeps and then silence for about 2 secs).
This may happen when there is no load on the UPS (just switched on) and sometimes when there is a load (equipment is running off the UPS). In either case, the power supply is on.
What do I need to do?

This sounds as if the UPS is no longer detecting the unit's internal battery. This may happen over time if the battery has been tasked excessively, it's voltage may drop below the point of UPS detection. I would advise a replacement battery, APCRBC113.
