I'm considering buying one of these units (RS1500LCD or BR1500LCD) but I am very confused about their differences. Can someone explain them? The more research I do on them the more confused I am. Thanks.
I wil be using the unit with a 24" iMac (march 2009) one additional DELL 23" LCD monitor, 3 external 1TB drives. Perhaps one powered USB hub and a Motorola surfboard Modem. My priorities are the iMac with its internal drive and the 3 External drives.

RS is a Back-UPS family, all of which have part #s beginning with BR. I'm pretty sure you're looking at the same exact unit. 😉

I believe the BR and the BX are the same unit but that the RS is a different unit altogether. Anyone? I need to buy something soon!

BR is via APC, BX is via retail. Similar though not identical.
APC does not manufacture an "RS1500LCD," so if you think it's something different, maybe it's a different manufacturer. Do you have links?

Thanks. APC told me that RS was the "family name" for these units.
You would think that APC would understand that having units sell as BX, BR, RS is very confusing for the consumer. I had to do a lot of leg work to figure it all out. Perhaps I should go with another company, I don't know.
(BTW I'm originally from Norwalk CT)
