Hi,
If the UPS BR1000-IN is not getting on mains and is toggling between on mains and on battery , you need to check two things
1. Is the input voltage and frequency is suitable for the UPS to work. UPS required 230V and 50Hz to work on mains
2. Is the socket where the UPS is connected is in good condition
If the UPS is toggling on mains and battery continuously it means that that either one of the above is the reason.

I would suggest to change the wall socket and try in different room if then also problem persists then try to set the sensitivity high and the steps for setting the sensitivity high for BR1000-In is given below,
1 Disconnect all the loads
2 Turn OFF the UPS using the front panel
3 Leave the input to the UPS ON
4 Press the ON button till all the LED flashes
5 Release and then press the switch 3 LED would flash :High Sensitivity
6 Release and then press the switch 2 LED would flash :Medium Sensitivity
7 Release and then press the switch 1 LED would flash :Low Sensitivity

Please release your hand when 3 LEDs are flashing so that the sensitivity is high.

Hope this solves the problem in the UPS.

When batteries are kept for too long without being charged, they get bad and it gets worse if the place the UPS has been kept is hot. I know in India the weather is very hot, so if this battery stood still for let's say one year, without being charged, chances are that the battery is not good anymore. You should return this unit to the store you bought it and ask for a working one or a new battery(ies).
