Hello,
I am sure this has been asked so my apologies. I am searching the forums while asking this as well.
We have an RM1500 that was due for battery replacement but before this was done a power outage caused the unit to run down to empty causing a battery failure error on the front panel(red led blinking, and beep). We replaced the batteries, and reapplied power, but the error/fault is still there and the UPS will not turn on.
What do we need to do to clear this error and get the unit back online?
Thank You
Jim

You'll need to issue a UPS self test to clear it. Depending on the model, you can issue that via PowerChute Business Edition or a Network Management Card if installed (these methods will use logic and if the UPS is below a certain charge level or above a certain load percentage, it could be refused). You can also do it via your UPS front panel by holding down the test button if it has one until the online LED starts flashing. This is manual and will force the self test so just make sure the UPS has charged for a bit before performing this.
If it is newer and has an LCD, there is an option in the menu to do it through there too.
