I have a APC Backup 350 CS UPS I recently bought that I'd like to connect to my computer. It didnt' come with the RJ45 to USB cable, and I'm not in the market to dish out 35 bucks for a basic cable. So I've decided to fall back on one of two solutions. Either find some software that creates a virtual USB port using my secondary ethernet port, or I make my own cable using spare parts. My more realistic approach is the second one, but I'm having trouble finding the needed pinouts to make the cable. Any help on this would be appreciated.

the pinout is proprietary so APC cannot post it on here for you.
if you have proof of purchase from where you bought this, assuming it was new, APC can surely provide you with a cable free of charge.
