Hi,
I just got my new APC Back-UPS BR1000G RS set up and when I picked the unit up to reposition it I heard a rattle like noise from the inside of the unit.
I removed the battery pack from the unit and the rattle was gone. I placed the battery pack back in again and the noise was back. I was wondering if any other owner of this unit has noticed this? The unit seems to be operating properly.
With my MacPro and 23" ACD connected it shows a 46% draw and a battery run time of 15 Mins. The input voltage reads as 119 and the output reads as 118 with a load of 275W. are these values OK?
Do these units have a cooling fan? If so where are the vent ports? Are they decent units?

I called APC tech support and they said that the way this new model is set up the battery connection locks in so that the unit should not be moved after the unit's battery is connected .
Not sure how good that info is.... I did shake the unit without the battery in and heard nothing so it must be related to the battery.
Support did day that this unit has a cooling fan in it but it doesn't kick on until a temperature threshold has been reached...
Not sure who to believe...
