Hello everyone!
Even before i state my problem i would like you to know that im not a tech savvy guy and know very little about hardware. with that i would like to share with you guys my problem
I had a UPS(not APC) which i have been using for almost a year. About 3 months back my UPS started failing me. That is whenever there was a power failure my UPS wouldn't switch to backup and my computer would shutdown. I thought that my UPS is broke and as a typical novice i immediately decided to buy another UPS. After lot of asking around i found out that APC has a good range of UPS. So i went about and bought APC Back-UPS 600, 230V without auto shutdown software. I started using it immediately and i was thoroughly satisfied with it. Until a few days back i once again experienced a power failure, and mind you this isn't the first power failure my new UPS has faced. But this time something unusual happened. My system was restarting... i was confused. Unlike my last UPS which totally shut down. this one was restarting. I brushed it as a an accident and i was actually convinced... as after the incident my UPS responded well to upcoming power failures. But then again the same thing happened. My initial guess is it fails occasionally. To simulate a power failure i cut the main power to my system. How many ever times i tried this my UPS back up always kicked in. Only when a real power failure occurred this thing happens that too not all the time. I'm on an edge now as i will never know when the power is going to go off and when my UPS is going to fail and making me lose progress.
So i ask for help to determine my problem and how to fix this. If you need any other information other that the one I've provided please ask me and I'll do my best to provide it. Thank you in advance

Hi Tarum , can you send a photo of your connection between your pc and the ups? before the restart your pc shows some message or it restarts inmediately? , try changing the cable between ups and pc , maybe it is bad.

Ty for the reply and sorry to the delay...
So i have my moniter, CPU connection and sound system connected to a spike suppressor and the spike suppressor is connected to my ups.
And no I don't get any message during restart only the 'run windows normally' and 'safe mode' options.
Hope this helps

You are correct. you can go for a basic PDU or connect all the loads directly on the ups outlets. Can I know which country the UPS is located? based on that I can provide you the contact information for the PDU recommendation.
