Greetings,
I bought my UPS 2.5 years ago, but now i'am starting to have problems, and i don't know if it's the battery or the UPS itself.
It began 2 days ago, when i awoke because of a constant beeping sound (A blackout happened but lasted only for 2 minutes, and my PC was OFF), i had to turn OFF my UPS and ON again to work.
After that i turned my PC ON and did a manual blackout for 5 minutes (removed the UPS from the socket), the battery kicked in as usual, but i found out that it was discharging weirdly (PowerChute was going from 100% ---> 91% ---> 86% ---> 92% ---> 80% ... etc.) + there was a weird buzzing noise coming out of the UPS (not the normal noise of the battery).
I plugged in the UPS back to the AC and then it happened, the UPS was going crazy back and forth from "Battery Mode" to "AC Mode" Accompanied by a click noise each time the change happens (as it was struggling and can't determine if it has a power source or not), the PowerChute software too.
Then the PC unexpectedly shut down as if it was a normal blackout (with no UPS), and the UPS too, but again, with that constant beeping, and NO Lights (green or red) it just shut itself down.
I took out the battery, did the reset trick (pushed the UPS Button for 30 seconds), put it back in, made multiple manual blackout, sometimes it worked and sometimes not (90% not).
Sometimes the UPS works when a blackout happens (10% success chance), but it never works with Electrical Noise.
As i was saying the UPS doesn't light the red light (which indicates if the battery went bad or not) + The PowerChute Software says that the UPS is working properly.
Do I Need To Change The Battery Or The Whole UPS Unit? I Bought It 2.5 Years Ago, But Don't Want To Buy A New Battery To Only Find Out That The Unit Itself Is Broken.
PS: I think that started after installing Win 10, But i don't think that's the problem, is it?
i'am using Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit, latest PowerChute release, Firmware is: 871.O2.I and the serial number is: 5B1243T0315
Thanks.

I did a manual blackout now with nothing attached to it and the same thing happened, guess this is pretty much a confirmation that the battery is OK and the UPS itself is the culprit, right?
