Hello!
I'm new around here and my problem is this:
- I bought the APC Back-UPS ES 700 two days ago.
- I plug it in and let it charge for more than 16 hours (it was turned off).
- I then turn it on and try a small lamp to all sockets to see if they are ok.
- They were, so I turn it off and I plug in my pc (on master socket), next to it my screen and next to it my external HDD.
- I turn it on, does a beep and then there is a constant beep and no lights.
- I turn it off, unplug all devices and try to turn it on again but -alas- constant beep and no lights.
- I tried it on another wall socket and no results.
- I tried to turn it on while unplugged (it was supposed to work from battery) but still: constant beep and no lights.
- I also pushed the circuit breaker (it's inside, not poped out) but still nothing.
I don't know what else to do
What is going on?
Thank you.

Hi andriux and kryssa,
When you hear the constant tone are any of the LEDs on the UPS flashing? If the replace battery LED is flashing that indicates the battery has been disconnected. If the power on and replace battery LEDs are flashing - alternating that would indicate a bad battery. Since both of your units are still in warranty you should contact the local Schneider Electric - APC technical support team for assistance.

Can you provide the model and serial number of your UPS? This can be located underneath the UPS on a small white barcode sticker.
Can you go ahead and follow the steps outlined below and let me know what would happen on your UPS.
1: Disconnect any attached load.
2: Unplug the UPS from the wall socket.
3: Disconnect the UPS' internal battery.
4: Push and hold the ""On"" button on the UPS for 5 seconds
5: Reconnect internal battery.
6: Plug UPS in to known good power source.
7: Turn UPS on.

Hello again!
I did what you instructed me but with no success. The ups continues to beep continuously when I finally turned it on.
Concerning the information you asked I' m writting down all the numbers I could find on ups and delivery papers. I'm not sure which one you want:
Delivery number: 72803557
PO Number: 1-5277396893
SO Number: 81 1024294
PRFS1341
Item: BE700G-GRQ
That's all I could find.
Does anything makes sense?

Hi,
When you hear a constant tone from the UPS that indicates the UPS is overloaded. You should brain dead a Back-ups to purge the charge in the brain of the UPS.
To do this, follow the below procedure:
1: Disconnect any attached load.
2: Unplug the UPS from the wall socket.
3: Disconnect the UPS' internal battery.
4: Push and hold the ""On"" button on the UPS for 5 seconds
5: Reconnect internal battery.
6: Plug UPS in to known good power source.
7: Turn UPS on.
After turning the UPS back on attach the computer to the master outlet and power the computer up. If the tone does not return then plug the monitor into another outlet and power it up. If that works then add the HDD.

I have exactly the same issue with the same model. Here's the details: BE700G-UK / 5B1330T04762.
In addition, I would like to mention that when I was turning it on for the first time I heard kind of explosive sound and a spark at the bottom area. I does not happen again, but it won't start either even after trying to follow the instructions above. One more small detail, whenever I move the unit I can hear that there is some loose part inside, like a bolt rolling, is that normal?
