Powerchute for Mac?
Just purchased an APC model BE550G, after checking the label on the packaging that states "APC PowerChute Auto-Shutdown software is compatible with "Win versions" Mac OSX ...
The CD in the package has a Windows installer only and I can't find any indicator of Mac-compatible Powerchute software. Any ideas? Thanks

Thanks for the info. As a reformed(ing) Windows user I didn't expect things to be handled natively by the OS. Thanks Apple, nice to meet ya.

i'd recommend using native Mac support as it is better than the powerchute software according to what i hear. you can connect the USB data cable from the UPS to your computer then check under system preferences - energy saver (i think). there will be a UPS tab pop up where you can configure the same options as powerchute has without having to load additional software.
hope that helps.
