Permanently turn off the alarm - battery is on order but will take a week. I silence the alarm and it goes off every 12 hours. Wakes everyone up.

Battery is done.  I have ordered a new one.  It will take a week to get here.

When I silence the alarm, it still goes off every 12 hours. At 2am the entire house is woken up for something that we cannot do anything about.  At 2pm it frightens the pets and wails until someone gets home to silence it again.

How do I permanently turn off the alarm?   Not just for 12 hours.

Just to be clear you select the mute button on the face of the unit. The speaker icon shows a line going through it indicating the sound has been muted? 🤔

Also, have you checked if the APC Power Chute software still has the ability to disable all audio alarms?

I have the same issue with my BN1500M2, it didn't give me any warnings, the battery just died one day suddenly. Now it is sounding an alarm everyday at 4pm and 4am. The replacement battery is out of stock everywhere, even with 3rd party brands. I have a Mac, so I am not able to install the PowerChute Serial Shutdown software. Anyone tried it and can it really mute the alarm permanently? Thanks.

I have the same problem with my BN1500M2, the battery suddenly died one day without giving any advance warnings. The alarm goes off every 12 hours every day at 4 pm and 4 am.  

I can't install the PowerChute Serial Shutdown software as it's not available on Mac.

Any more suggestions? Thanks.
