Parachute Personal Install

I cannot install Powerchute Personal. (Windows 10)

It is connected and installed windows drivers on connection..

It cannot see the UPS when installing so does not complete installation.

Tried various Power Management Settings bout no success.

What model and serial number is the UPS?!? Are you using the supplied APC USB cable to connect to the UPS / PC? Have you tried to install the Power Chute software on another computer to see the results?

NOTE: If this is a consumer grade UPS Power Chute Personal Edition must be used. If this is an enterprise grade unit Power Chute Business Edition / Power Chute Serial must be used.

The USB cable is a standard printer type USB cable but when connecting to UPS it loads the correct windows drivers automatically.

It’s a DLA1500|AS0649311089 UPS

PowerChute Personal Edition is not compatible with a DLA UPS. You should try PowerChute Serial Shutdown.

NOTE: Your UPS is 18 years old, so PowerChute Serial Shutdown has not been tested with that model. It should work but again it has not been tested.
