Does this mean that APC will no longer support Macs? Seems that way since the software only says it supports up to OS 10.4 and my new iMac came with 10.5.7 and all Macs are now intel powered. I looked at v1.3.4 and it still only covers up to 10.4.9. Intel has powered Macs for what, two years now, and the software STILL doesnt support it? Not acceptable.
I say a suggestion to use native mac support in the energy saver preference pane, but Leopard 10.5.7 doesnt have a tab to allow this.
Can someone suggest a work around, or do I have to toddle back to BestBuy and trade this 750 for another brand. Very disappointing as I have been using a 500 that's worked well with my old iMac for five years and came to depend on APC.

i am not sure of the ETA of a new Mac OS X version of powerchute but yes, native support should just work fine.
i believe that someone here has tested 1.3.4 on a system just as you have and it seems to work ok but is not officially supported. so if it doesn't work during an outage for some reason, i assume you'd move back to native OS support which provides the same features and settings for graceful shutdown.

Please disregard the above post. The problem turned out to be operator error as usual. Seems the USB wasn't completely plugged in to the computer. Once that was fixed the UPS tab showed up in energy saver as it should.
I also discovered that v1.3.4 does support intel macs. Says it does NOT support leopard, but it seems to be working so far. Of course, the proof will be when we have a power failure from Progress Energy, which seems to be scheduled for at least once a week.
