No power supplied when power out

Good morning all,

I feel like I know a bit about computing/other technical things but when it comes to back-UPS I'm completely new to them.

Two weeks ago I purchased a Back-UPS ES700, as my new workplace is pretty much in the middle of nowhere and surges were quite common so I wanted to protect some equipment (Computer, Router/Modem, Switchboard & Main Phone).

But today I had my first ever proper powercut (20 mins so far - i'm using laptop with mobile data) - And the UPS has supplied no power to anything connected to the backup slots? 

The device is making the correct tone to say that it's supplying battery power (4 beeps every 30 sec) but yeah, no power is being supplied at all.


Anyone have any idea?

Update: It's now got the rapid tone (battery low) - How can the battery be low when it has supplied no power and all its done is beep and have a small low power light on?

Hi,

When running on battery the UPS should provide power to the outlets labeled Battery BackUPS / Surge Protection. Would you provide a photo of what is plugged into the UPS showing which outlets are in use?

Hi Bill,

Been talking to APC Support for a few days via email and tried all the troubleshooting methods offered and nothing worked, a replacement unit is now being processed!
