I have 2 ES350 for 2 desktop PCs. Now they have some problem. Everything worked fine and normal before I shut down the computers last night. After a whole night heavy thunderstorm in my area (I guess there was power outage in my home), this morning I can't turn on my pc. And I found the problem is no power output at Battery Backup side. But the Surge Protection Only side is OK, which I plugged my computer in and typing now. Also, when the computer turned on, the software pops up "APC battery backup no longer receiving AC utility power..." at window task icon corner. And also in the software, it shows the power source is battery and "battery is currently" is "Discharging". BTW, there is no light on and no beeps.
Is this the normal signs of "self-protection" after a sudden power-off? If not, what problem it might indicate?
Thanks!

hmm, yes it sounds like it thinks it is discharging when it really isnt. to start, i'd reset the unit completely by turning the UPS off (and your load on it) and disconnecting the internal battery from it for a couple of seconds (it is located on the bottom). then, reconnect it and power it back on and see if they both still do the same thing.
how old are the UPSs? if you can provide the first couple of digits in your serial number, we can tell. it should be something like JBXXXX where X's are numbers.
