I just bought a used BF500U that will pass the power to anything I plug into it but there are no lights on the unit or any beeps coming from it! Anyone have any ideas what this may be?
Thanks!
Rick

Hi Rick,
This unit is quite old and we haven't sold it in like 10 years so I don't have much experience with it. In discussing a little bit here, my first thought is - are you connected to the Battery Back Up + Surge outlets or Surge Only outlets? If the UPS portion of the unit isn't working, it would still pass power via surge only outlets. If you are using the Battery Back Up + Surge outlets and those are the outlets successfully passing power, it could be an issue with the LED simply not working any longer. Otherwise, I'd presume the battery in it is really old and the UPS portion can't turn on.
Depending on what you find, you could consider trading it in towards a new UPS or likely more costly, looking for a new battery for it which may or may not solve the issue.
